We were up reasonably early, had breakfast at the large buffet and then caught a taxi to the nearby train station. Again, the distance wasn’t far but with the snow it was a bit of a slog.
After a rather
long wait we finally boarded the train, only for Mary to realize that she had
left her camera at the hotel…too late to run over and get it. A few phone calls were made and the hotel
finally found the camera…left in the room.
The train ride
to Oslo was very pretty. The weather was
better than our train ride from Oslo to Bergen so we had much better views of
the beautiful countryside.
(See the Specialty Album in the Introductions section for more photos of the train ride between Oslo and Bergen.)
The evening was
spent trying to deal with getting the camera shipped home. However, Paul decided that dealing with DHL
from the Norway end was a bit of a problem so we will deal with it when we get
home.
Our Oslo hotel
is at the airport so no more sightseeing today.
It is a large conference hotel but the restaurant dinner menu is very
small. Fortunately they had a nice
vegetarian option that we both had.
And we had the smallest hotel closet we have ever seen. Can hang up a coat or two and that's it.
Then it was
repacking for the flight home and then to bed.
